I haven’t had a chance to write detailed piece on customer acquisition process where I believe inbound and outbound channels needs to be included. I have touch on a couple of points in this article when it comes to inbound and outbound. It does change a few things.

Most outbound is done by SDR team or SDR team that reports to marketing so the process of tracking will change. Also, it’s important to know your current strategy, whether you focus on free trial, freemium, or you just looking for more user registration that lead to more engagement in product (most social media product fall under this category).
