Product growth teams differ from traditional product teams in three ways: They have flexible roadmaps, prioritize speed and velocity of learning, and make more qualitative bets.

  1. Flexible roadmaps: Product Growth Teams have more flexible roadmaps.
  2. Throw-away work and trade-offs: Product Growth Teams often prioritize for quick and imperfect solutions that later will be killed (thrown away) or completely rebuilt.
  3. Data-Informed over Data-Driven: Product Growth Teams take more qualitative bets than traditional PM teams.
